El Bolillo, Mexican street slang meaning “the white boy”, is a brazen & cheeky nod to a British chef opening a taqueria.

The outcome, when a master of the Michelin dark arts is captivated by Mexico City’s provoking & vibrant street food scene and feels compelled to bring a playful re-envisioned rendition home to the coast.

Food that has all the minimalistic swagger of fine dining restaurant but with flavours that boast of your favourite late night guilty pleasure. Punchy cocktails that have all the sass of your most elevated speak-easy, with a soundtrack to match. Plus a wine list where you don’t have to pretend to know your shit.

In a carefully curated space that draws on the city’s brutalist architecture and use of raw textures, softened to an elegant neighbourhood setting.
